Fill in your first and last names and your County, then click on Search. Click on your name to see your registration information. 2)  By paper: Print out the form at the BOE website: buncombenc.gov/554/Absentee-Ballot-Request-Form.

After completing, submit the form to the BOE in person* at 35 Woodfin Street, Asheville, or send by mail to PO Box 7468, Asheville 28801-7468.

*In-person delivery is permitted only by the voter or near relative. Near relative is defined as spouse, sibling, parent/step-parent, mother/father-in-law, child/stepchild, son/daughter-in-law, grandparent/child

Once your 2026 State Absentee Ballot Request Form has been received, an Absentee Ballot will be mailed to you before absentee voting begins on January 12, 2026.

Once your ballot is completed you can mail or hand deliver your Absentee Ballot. Civilian absentee voters must return the container-return envelope with the voted ballot enclosed to their county board of elections no later than 7:30 pm on Election Day, March 3rd.
