North Carolina election officials warn voters of confusing voter registration mail

WLOS Staff, July 2, 2026

RALEIGH, N.C. (WLOS) — North Carolina election officials are warning voters about confusing voter registration mail sent by a private organization.

According to the North Carolina State Board of Elections, mailings include outdated registration forms that may have been sent using old data.

Residents who have already registered at their current address can discard the mail, officials said in a news release.

Voters should verify their registration through the state board’s online voter search tool.
